CCRPC to monitor H.360 broadband language allowing CUDs and small providers access to funds

Regina Mahony told the Planning Advisory Committee that CCRPC has been following bill H.360 and is waiting for the Legislature—inal decisions on how broadband connectivity funds will be deployed. She said the Senate-passed language would make funds available to Communication Utility Districts (CUDs) and to small service providers defined as those serving fewer than three counties.
Mahony said CCRPC will continue to monitor the legislation and, once final decisions are made, will reach out with options for serving the more than 2,000 households in Chittenden County that remain underserved.
