CWAC approves minutes and names Annie Costandi chair; vice chair election deferred to October

At its Sept. 3 meeting the Chittenden County Clean Water Advisory Committee approved draft minutes and elected leadership for the coming months.
Shayne Geiger moved to approve the July 9 draft minutes; Lani Ravin seconded and the motion carried. Geiger also moved to approve the May 7 minutes; Lani Ravin seconded, Dan Koenemann abstained and the motion carried.
Committee members discussed committee composition and voting status for non‑municipal MS4 participants. Dan Albrecht explained the CWAC’s history and the Public Participation Plan provision that volunteer CWAC members may be eligible for stipends; he said he would follow up with potentially eligible members after the meeting.
Annie Costandi said she was willing to remain chair and emphasized the committee’s need for a vice chair. Tom Joslin volunteered to serve as vice chair if no other non‑MS4 member steps forward; staff will email non‑MS4 members to solicit interest and the committee plans to vote on vice chair and committee composition at the Oct. 1 meeting.
Dan Koenemann moved to nominate and approve Annie Costandi as Chair; Jenn Callahan seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Chair Costandi adjourned the meeting at 12:01 p.m.
