He reported the department is preparing proof materials for the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) and expects an on-site inspection within about a month.
Trustees thanked officers for mutual-aid response during a recent regional incident, and educators on the board praised Officer Paradise for regular school engagement. The chief said the release of detailed incident information remains subject to the state's attorney and coroner's office timelines.
