The Antioch Village Board approved a series of resolutions in its regular meeting that advance downtown planning and finalize a set of operational agreements and payments.
Key votes recorded during the regular meeting (all roll calls recorded 6 yes unless otherwise noted):
- SB Friedman downtown TIF feasibility contract (Resolution 26‑08): authorized village administrator to execute a $54,500 agreement for feasibility and eligibility work to study a downtown TIF; staff said the fee is reimbursable from the TIF if the district is established.
- Building inspection services agreement (Resolution 26‑20): authorized an agreement to provide building inspection services on behalf of the village; staff said shifting some inspection work is expected to reduce reliance on higher hourly outside rates.
- Second amendment to water‑tower lease with Verizon Wireless (Resolution 26‑11): extended the existing lease terms and updated rent; staff said the amendment increases annual rent from earlier decades to roughly $46,000 in the first year of the amendment, with a 3% annual escalation.
- Payment of accounts payable: the board approved payment of accounts totaling $1,684,871.20.
- Purchase of fire alarm replacement for treatment facility (Resolution 26‑09): approved purchase in the amount of $20,107.56.
- Payment to MGT Impact Solutions related to employment services and other consent items (Resolution 26‑12), and a mutual release and settlement agreement with ECB Antioch LLC (Resolution 26‑13) were also approved.
All items listed on the consent agenda were approved and motions carried by roll call votes recorded as unanimous in the meeting transcript. Staff said several of the items (notably the SB Friedman contract) will generate deliverables for future board consideration.
