Macomb council adopts new liquor license class for arcade entertainment centers

The ordinance completed its second reading at the meeting and the council moved to adopt the amendment. The motion passed on a roll-call vote with all members voting in the affirmative.
The new classification is intended to provide a local licensing pathway for businesses that operate arcade-style entertainment centers. The ordinance text as adopted requires the council to follow the procedures set out in the municipal code and the attached exhibit for licensing specifics.
The ordinance will be incorporated into chapter 2 of the Macomb Municipal Code and take effect according to the schedule in the city code unless a different effective date is specified in the ordinance.
