The Wauconda Village Board approved its consent agenda at the Sept. 15 meeting, authorizing bill payments and several contracts and ordinance actions.
The clerk read six consent items, including approval of the minutes from the Sept. 2, 2025 board meeting and payment of bills dated Aug. 23–Sept. 5, 2025 totaling $1,455,678.90. The consent agenda also included a resolution authorizing a contract with Blue Water Construction LLC for sanitary spot repairs and an intergovernmental agreement for police services between the Village of Wauconda and the Village of Bolo. The clerk also read an ordinance addressing municipal retailers and service occupation taxes and an amendment correcting a typographical error in ordinance 2025-026.
Mayor called for a motion and second to approve items A through F. The board approved the consent agenda by roll call; the clerk read Trustee Howe, Trustee Shaw, Trustee Strauss, Trustee Schmiesing, Trustee Gehring and Trustee Brown as voting yes.
Why it matters: The bill payments include routine operating costs and capital outlays listed in the consent packet; the contract with Blue Water Construction establishes a vendor for sanitary spot repairs, and the intergovernmental agreement sets terms for shared police services with a neighboring village.
The meeting continued with new-business items following the vote.
