Staff suggested funding the display work from beautification gambling proceeds and said the American Legion Park District is interested in coordinating related improvements, including adding a sixth flag to include Space Force.
Council members discussed logistical coordination and noted that the city previously sought a vehicle donation and had been pursuing a static display for about a decade. Staff will meet with the park district to finalize plans and return with cost estimates and scheduling.
