The grant will fund improvements to the courtyard to support public events and programming, Garvey said. The motion to approve the resolution was moved and seconded and passed by unanimous roll call of the trustees present; two trustees were absent.
The board did not detail a construction schedule or a final scope for the renovation during the meeting; the memo included with the resolution (as summarized by the president) indicates staff coordination with the county to accept and manage the funds on behalf of the village.
The board’s action makes the village the official subrecipient of grant number 1064789-1; project implementation and any required contract awards will follow the village’s procurement rules and future staff reports to the board.
