At its regular April meeting the Community High School District 94 Board of Education approved a series of routine business items, including facilities contracts, equipment purchases, an appointment and personnel-related motions.
The board approved a Trane preventative maintenance program from Trane (Chicago) in the amount of $25,886. It also approved the disposal of a 2016 John Deere mower and purchase of a Kubota ZD12113-60 (Duquesne Equipment Corporation, Big Rock, Ill.) with a trade-in allowance of $7,995 for a net cost of $9,955.
The board approved estimates from SDM Gym Solutions (Joliet, Ill.) for replacement of straps and cables across multiple gym spaces in the total amount of $10,270.
Administratively, the board appointed Mary Howard to serve as the district's representative to the board of directors of DEOS for the 2026–27 school year (the administration said she currently serves in that role and this is an annual renewal). The board also approved FY27 benefit and wage increases for administrative and confidential personnel as presented and approved the personnel report.
Each of these items was moved, seconded and carried by roll call of board members present. The chair noted combined motions where appropriate and there was brief discussion on the mower disposal and trade-in process (parts availability and useful life of equipment).
