The Owosso Planning Commission voted on Feb. 23 to approve its 2025 annual report and to refer the document to the City Council for review, and it tabled the Community Improvement Plan until its March 23 meeting.
Commissioner Ludington moved to approve the 2025 Planning Commission annual report, saying it fulfills Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) requirements; Commissioner Albertson seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
On the Community Improvement Plan, the commission heard that the report was not ready. Commissioner Osika moved (seconded by Commissioner Albertson) to table the CIP until March 23, 2026; the motion carried unanimously.
Community Development Director Tanya Buckelew told the commission she had reached out to the owner of the Ada Street project for a timeline to begin the project and was awaiting a response to present at a future meeting. The commission adjourned at 7:10 p.m. and set its next meeting for March 23, 2026.
