Swansea board records unanimous votes on personnel hires, job reclassification and CDBG support

The board approved hiring Kyle Worth as a paid on‑call firefighter; Fire Chief Little described Worth as in the Air Force and having passed required physicals. The board also approved changing the job title from public works foreman to public works supervisor to create a supervisory layer, and moved to forward a parks foreman hire (John Stulshaus) to the board for appointment. Votes on those personnel items were taken by roll call and recorded as approved by the trustees present.
The board approved a travel/training request for Detective Sergeant Jason Frank to attend digital forensics training at the National Computer Forensics Institute in Hoover, Alabama, Jan. 18–30, 2026; speakers noted the training carries no cost to the village.
In finance business, trustees approved payment of $406,638.36 in bills after roll call. The board also accepted the treasurer's report, which listed a general‑fund balance of $7,517,089.14 and a grand total of all funds of $25,845,344.30 as of Aug. 31, 2025.
On infrastructure business the board adopted Resolution 1‑2706 supporting the village's participation in the county Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) sewer‑lining program (2024), acknowledging required village contributions and noting that low bids exceeded engineer estimates.
Most recorded motions were approved by unanimous 'Aye' votes by trustees present. The meeting adjourned after brief announcements.
