Council sets April 21 public hearing on 2025 delinquent special assessments

Renee Davis of the finance team said the items include invoices for grass and debris removal, dangerous building board-ups, vacant property inspection fees, false alarm invoices and property transfer affidavit fees. Statements were mailed Jan. 27 with a payment due date of April 20; after payments are reconciled staff will provide a final list for council consideration and any unpaid assessments would be placed on the February tax roll.
Davis urged residents with questions to contact the issuing department (phone numbers were given on the record). Council approved the resolution to set the hearing by voice vote.
