Committee members reviewed estimated additional revenues for multiple line items read aloud in the meeting: water-well inspections $13,007.50; health-review and construction-impact fees $12,880; subject permits $18,500; septic repair/abandonment $2,625; land fees $5,500; food-fee and related items totaling several line items (the committee cited $15,000, $3,375 and a streamlined-food fee of $15,000); a public-beach program $3,100 — the presenter and committee tally in the meeting totaled $89,755 for the listed items.
Nursing staff described fee adjustments driven by external billing rules: many nursing fees are constrained by Medicaid or HHS fee schedules and by costs to send tests to an external lab (QuestLab). Megan (community-health staff) said the department added a hearing/vision rescreen fee and a $50 CPR course fee after surveying comparable providers; small increases to cholesterol and A1C screenings were meant to cover cartridge and supply costs.
Animal-control staff also proposed consolidating registration fees: the animal-control administrator recommended aligning cat registration with existing dog fees and consolidating many registration categories into four standard registration options.
