The superintendent described operational details: exterior doors will trigger audible alarms if opened during school hours (07:35 to 02:45), staff will use badges to enter and exit, principals will receive alerts if a door is unlatched for a set interval, and the system allows remote overrides for scheduled events.
A board member asked whether deliveries or evening events would be affected; staff said deliveries will be coordinated to the main entrance or loading docks and doors can be temporarily overridden for events. The board voted to approve the contract by roll call.
