House approves update to autism services law, adds reporting and monitoring provisions

The bill, described on the floor as coming from the Department of Education and making technical changes to align statute with the department's practices, passed on roll call with 38 yes and 3 absent.
Sponsors said the changes are technical and intended to align Title 14 language with current Department of Education practice for autism services, including monitoring and parent representation on oversight bodies. The House recorded the constitutional majority needed and passed the amended bill; no floor debate altering funding allocations was recorded.
