Public health presents FY2027 budget request; commissioners approve $2,000 BPA donation

At the same meeting, Cassi Cook and students from Soda Springs High School’s BPA (Business Professionals of America) requested fundraising support to attend the national competition in Nashville. Student Gimhana Somasiri provided a cost estimate of $1,572 per student. Commissioner Marty McCullough moved to donate $2,000 from PILT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) funds to the students; Commissioner Bryce Somsen seconded the motion and it passed.
