Raymore posts justice center design kickoff after PGAV workshop

City officials said they have begun the design phase for a proposed Raymore justice center after the council approved a concept-design contract with PGAV Architects.
"Last Friday, Chief Wilson and I participated in the kickoff meeting with PGAV Architects," Murdoch told the council, saying the firm will conduct a two-day workshop in Raymore to tour facilities and review staffing and space needs for a site off Highway 58. Murdoch said the firm will meet with multiple police- and court-related units and post meeting summaries and early drawings to the city's website.
The staff presentation described the materials PGAV received—previous staffing studies, space analyses and facility information—and said the team will use those documents to prepare renderings and a project timeline. Murdoch said the city expects weekly calls and biweekly meetings with PGAV during the concept-design period.
The presentation did not include project cost estimates or a construction schedule; Murdoch said those details will emerge as design work progresses and will be shared in subsequent updates. The city will post updates on the justice center page under the Residents tab at raymore.com.
The council did not take further action during the meeting; staff said they would continue public updates as sketches and meeting notes become available.
