DRC approves Heartland Dental final development plan at Newberry Park TND

The Alachua County Development Review Committee on Dec. 18 approved a final development plan for a 4,300-square-foot Heartland Dental medical office on about 1 acre within Newberry Park Traditional Neighborhood Development on West Newberry Road.
Jacob Stout, planner with Growth Management, described the site as an outparcel on the northern edge of a commercial block near an Aldi and said the plan meets the TND nonresidential build-line, parking standards and required landscape and screening for waste facilities. Staff recommended approval of the final development plan.
Norett Saran of Common Oak Engineering, the engineer of record for the applicant, said the team ‘‘just wanna bring this one to life’’ and was available to answer questions. A committee member moved to approve the final development plan, a second was made, members voted in favor and the motion passed.
The DRC’s approval allows the project to proceed through construction permitting, subject to standard permitting and code compliance requirements.
