DRC recommends replat of Farms of Kanapaha Lot 41 to BOCC consent agenda

The DRC recommended approval of a replat splitting Lot 41 into 41A and 41B in the Farms of Kanapaha planned development and will forward the recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for its Jan. 13 consent agenda.
The Alachua County Development Review Committee on Dec. 18 recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve a replat splitting Lot 41 of the Farms of Kanapaha planned development into Lots 41A and 41B.
Jacob Stout, a planner with Alachua County Growth Management, told the committee the split followed the PD allowances for lot splits and that the applicant had initiated a split at the property appraiser’s office; staff found the replat consistent with the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan, Unified Land Development Code and the Farms of Kanapaha preliminary development plan and recommended the DRC forward a positive recommendation to the BOCC. Stout said the item will appear on the BOCC consent agenda on Jan. 13.
A committee member moved to recommend approval to the Board of County Commissioners, a second was made, and the motion passed.
The replat process does not create final legal lots until the BOCC acts; staff noted the PD allows lot splits via the replat process and that previous lots in the development have gone through similar replat approvals.
