Council staff correct PFAS line in March water report; March numbers confirmed

Council member Grama Fox asked for clarification about a line in the city’s March water report that appeared to indicate PFAS results were "above normal." DPW/utility staff acknowledged the sentence should not have been included and apologized for the typo, saying the March values on the report are correct and that they will reference the correct prior report for council review.
A utility staff member explained that some laboratory equipment reports results only down to a certain level; when results are below the instrument minimum the lab must qualify the result. Staff told the council they re-ran the sample and obtained improved results and promised to provide the corrected report line. The council accepted the clarification at the meeting.
City staff said April results were not yet available.
