At the April 20 Village of Fruitport meeting Clerk Amy Haack and Treasurer Ann LaCroix delivered staff reports covering infrastructure planning and financial oversight.
"Haack reported on contract with engineer to review infrastructure regarding new elementary school and parking design," Haack told the council, saying the review is intended to inform design and parking needs tied to a new elementary school project. Haack also reported a recommendation to appoint a new member to the Zoning Board of Appeals to replace a resigning member and said there has been positive progress toward a FY27 stormwater infrastructure grant through Congresswoman Scholten’s Community Projects application.
Treasurer Ann LaCroix reported on insurance matters, an upcoming audit of village finances and a workers' compensation audit, and noted attendance at a recent legislative meeting.
Council received the reports for informational purposes; the timeline records further related liaison updates at the planning commission and library board reported later in the meeting. The planning commission’s next meeting is scheduled for June 11.
