Anderson City public works board takes bids under advisement, approves property donation and water‑main reimbursement

The Anderson City Public Works Board on April 28 took multiple construction bids under advisement, approved donating a vacant lot at 2110 Fletcher Street to Pastons Housing Corporation of Indiana for a new single‑family home, and approved a reimbursement agreement to extend a water main beneath I‑69, board members said.

Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.; after routine minutes approval the board reviewed bids for two engineering projects. A presenter read three bids for Contract Paving Project No. 2: E & B Paving ($1,521,491), Howard Companies ($1,737,619.80) and DC Construction Services ($1,425,590.43). Committee member moved to take the bids under advisement "as requested by superintendent House," and the board voted aye to do so. The staff reiterated an engineer's estimate of $1,520,800 for the project.
