The Park County Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 18 directed staff to draft resolutions for multiple land-use applications and approved a continuance for a rezoning request to a later meeting.
For case A25-0110, Minewater Finance, LLC requested subdivision of two mining-claim parcels (MS-8270A and MS-8270B) at 6632 County Road 12 in Alma into three parcels. The proposal would sell the new MS8270B Tract A (3.99 acres) to North London Mill Preservation Inc., donate the new MS8270B Tract B (6.55 acres) to the U.S. Forest Service, and retain the new MS8270A Tract A (4.59 acres) under the applicant’s ownership. Shelli Yarbrough presented the staff report; community members including Kate McCoy, Jeff Crane and Jeff Voohies spoke during the item. Commissioner Amy Mitchell moved that staff draft a resolution approving the applicant’s request; Commissioner Jason Gemmer seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
On case A25-0112, applicants Gary and Jolene Neff and Edwin and Tamara Hedlund requested a common plat amendment to split parcel 3806 between parcels 2622 and 2380 (new Lot 41A to receive 1.91 acres; new Lot 43 to receive 1.67 acres). Shelli Yarbrough presented and applicant Jolene Neff spoke; the board directed staff to draft an approving resolution (motion by Mitchell; second by Gemmer; carried 3-0).
Case A25-0117 was a conditional-use permit application for a 20-by-19-foot walk-in closet addition to an existing single-family house on a 10.3-acre mining claim addressed as 32634 Highway 24, Lake George. Kay Wolf presented the item; Tim Randolf spoke during public comments. The board directed staff to draft a resolution approving the addition (motion by Mitchell; second by Gemmer; carried 3-0).
A separate rezoning request (A25-0118) from applicant Adam Shirley of ASKAG, LLC—whose prior rezoning approval had been rescinded on Nov. 19, 2025—was continued to the April 21, 2026 BOCC meeting at the applicant’s request (motion by Mitchell; second by Gemmer; carried 3-0).
Each motion in these land-use items was recorded as carried 3-0. The board did not adopt final resolutions at this meeting but directed staff to prepare the formal documents to be brought back for signature or final action.
