County administrator reports slight uptick in casino tax collections

County Administrator Hank Solowiej reported to the Erie County Board of Commissioners that preliminary casino tax collections for the month totaled $272,000, compared with $270,000 at the same time the previous year. He said year-to-date casino tax collections for Erie County stand at $541,000, up from $535,000 during the same period last year.
Solowiej presented the figures as part of routine financial updates to the board; no action or appropriation was taken in direct response to the report during the meeting. The numbers were presented to the board prior to the consent and resolution items that followed.
