The Seven Hills City Council on April 28 adopted emergency resolutions recognizing two long-serving part-time officers.
Council approved Resolution 05-2026 honoring Officer Anthony Turner for 32 years of service to the Seven Hills Police Department, noting his community involvement through events such as home days, middle school dances and the “shop with a cop” program, and his prior service in the U.S. Navy and with the U.S. Marshals. After the resolution was adopted, Officer Turner thanked the council: “Thank you very much. I would like to thank the city of Seven Hills for giving me an opportunity to serve the community.”
Council then adopted Resolution 06-2026 commending Officer Anthony Strazzo for 23 years and eight months of part-time service, and for prior service with local fire departments. Council members from across the dais offered tributes, thanking both officers for their long-term commitment to public safety. Council Pro Tem Castanzo moved adoption of both emergency measures; each was approved by voice vote.
Why it matters: The resolutions formally document the city’s appreciation and direct the clerk to forward certified copies to the honorees. Both measures carried the emergency clause so the council could recognize the officers immediately.
The council took no further formal action related to the honors and moved on to other agenda items.
