Imlay City Board of Education approves $2.57 million in disbursements and accepts $900,000 bond bid

The Imlay City Board of Education on March 23 approved routine and capital payments totaling $2,572,895 and adopted a resolution accepting a $900,000 bid for the district’s bond sale.
Moved by Treasurer Doug Van Dyk and supported by Trustee Ashley Wolford, the board approved General Fund and Lunch Fund bills and disbursements totaling $2,406,505.00. Later, Trustee Greg Dennis moved and Trustee Alex Lengemann supported approval of Bond Capital Project checks totaling $166,390.00. Both motions passed by roll call vote with all members present voting aye: Vice President Kaylee Kaeding, Treasurer Doug Van Dyk, Trustees Greg Dennis, Alex Lengemann, Ashley Wolford and Laura Zelenak.
The board then adopted a resolution to accept the bid of ChoiceOne Bank to purchase bonds in the amount of $900,000.00. The motion to adopt the bond-sale resolution was moved by Trustee Alex Lengemann and supported by Treasurer Doug Van Dyk; the roll call vote was unanimous.
Board Treasurer Doug Van Dyk also reported the Financial Report and Capital Projects Report were accepted as read in BoardBook.
These approvals cover routine operational disbursements and capital-project checks; officials did not record any dissenting votes. The board did not attach additional conditions to the bond acceptance in the minutes. The board adjourned at 8:13 p.m.
