Pocahontas County signs FY27 service agreements and approves routine invoices, manure plan

At its April 21 meeting, the Pocahontas County Board of Supervisors approved two FY27 participation agreements and several routine payments and agricultural compliance filings.
On motions by Supervisor Clarence Siepker, seconded by Kyle Smith, the board approved and signed FY27 participation agreements with Elderbridge for $7,302.00 and with Upper Des Moines for $18,000.00. Both motions carried unanimously.
The board also approved payment of vendor invoices: ISG for $157.50 related to JT DD 37 Cal 35 Poc; Rouse Excavation & Construction for $1,055.00 on JT 63 Br 10 Tile; and Kent Malm for $40.00 on JT 63 Br 10 Tile. Supervisor Seehusen abstained on the Kent Malm payment; the other payments passed.
Additionally, the board approved a Manure Management Plan for Seehusen Finisher (ID# 61832) located in the SE SW of Section 30 in Sherman Township, listing Middle Creek Swine, LLC as owner and Steve Licht as contact person. The motion to approve the manure plan passed unanimously.
Auditor Nita Hinrickson also noted BV Glass had installed one courthouse window and that a delivered lawn mower had a $300 price reduction because county staff installed it themselves.
