Wayne County delays S60 overlay, approves Iowa DOT secondary roads budget and five-year program

Wayne County Engineer Dillon Davenport reported April 14 that county equipment (two brush grinders and a mantis unit) are positioned near Millerton and Corydon and that the planned S60 overlay project has been postponed until late June or early July.
Following the engineer’s report, the board voted to approve the Iowa Department of Transportation Secondary Roads budget and the DOT Secondary Roads Five-Year Program. Supervisors recorded unanimous approval for both items.
The board did not provide new cost estimates for the S60 overlay during the meeting; scheduling changes were presented as the primary update from the engineer.
