At the April 7 meeting the Laconia School Board approved a slate of routine and action items by unanimous voice votes.
The board voted 7–0 to approve the 2026–27 General Assurances required for Title funding. The board then approved the 2026–27 faculty and staff handbook and the Laconia Elementary parent/student handbook, each by voice vote (7–0).
The board approved the Laconia Educators Association nomination list — the confidential list of educators recommended to receive contracts for 2026–27 — by a 7–0 vote. Board members discussed past practice about including renewal/nonrenewal columns and reaffirmed that the board votes on contracts recommended by the superintendent.
Finally, the board approved the Pleasant Street School roof vendor and 20‑year warranty by a 7–0 vote. The meeting later moved into nonpublic session for RSA 91‑A:3 II(c) and (e) and upon return the board approved rescinding an employee's early retirement request (motion carries 7–0).
