Lacey proclaims March 31 Transgender Day of Visibility; PFLAG Olympia thanks council

Lucas Miller, board member of PFLAG Olympia, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the local chapter and thanked the council for standing with transgender people. Miller told the council that he and his organization are working to combat what he described as a wave of hostile measures in other states and highlighted upcoming state ballot initiatives affecting transgender youth.
The council adopted the proclamation and council members acknowledged the need to support vulnerable community members.
