Fire chief reports busy month; council to consider appointment next meeting

Chief Correa thanked the council for the opportunity to serve and said department activity had slowed after a busy February. He told council members that at the next meeting they would be asked to appoint Jeff Schick as the new fire chief. Council members expressed appreciation for the department's work and asked brief operational follow-ups about mutual-aid assistance to regional fires; Correa said no Torrington crews were currently committed to the Morrill fire.
The council thanked the chief for his service and moved on to other items.
