The presenters outlined a possible 18‑month construction period for the high‑school addition, with major construction kickoff in early February and completion phases stretching through 2028–29.
Board members discussed the advantages and procurement timing for a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR). The architect recommended early CMAR engagement to inform constructability and procurement but acknowledged statutory processes for CMAR under Kansas law take six to eight weeks.
No formal board vote was taken on procurement method; facility committee review and a future request for board direction were the next steps.
Administration said it will share detailed schedules, financing plans, and RFP timelines with the board at the next meeting.
