Lindenhurst approves $159,321.51 payment request for Rose Tree outfall repair

The Lindenhurst Village Board on March 9 authorized Pay Application #1 from engineering/construction firm V3 for the Rose Tree Outfall Repair project, approving payment of $159,321.51.
Administrator Clay Johnson told the board the project is running ahead of schedule and, as a result, part of the work will need to be expensed in the current fiscal year. The village intends to seek reimbursement through a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) administered by the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission after the payment is made.
Trustee Pat Dunham moved to authorize the execution of Pay Application #1; Trustee Dawn Suchy seconded the motion, and the board approved it by roll call, 6–0. The minutes indicate the village expects approximately two more pay requests before the end of the fiscal year.
The board was advised that although the payment will exceed the current stormwater line in the budget, reimbursement is expected and finance staff will manage the timing of expenses and grant reimbursement.
