The Park County Board of Commissioners continued a public hearing on proposed 1041 regulations at its April 7 meeting after receiving comments from utilities, municipal water representatives and other stakeholders.
Special Counsel Tori Jarvis presented the continued hearing via Zoom. Public commenters listed in the record included Christopher Olney of Colorado Springs Utilities, Sarah Young of City of Aurora Water, David Shohet representing HASP, and Jack Cropper (via Zoom). After closing public comment, Commissioner Jason Gemmer moved to continue the hearing to April 14 and April 21; Commissioner Amy Mitchell seconded and the motions carried 3-0.
The record shows the board chose continuation rather than final action; the transcript does not include the substance of the comments submitted by those parties. The board did not vote to adopt regulations at this meeting and directed that the hearing resume on the scheduled continuation dates.
