City parks staff report sold-out Easter event, program staffing and new hires

Adam (sports complex operations) reported on field maintenance, tree plantings at softball complexes (100 trees planted, 88 along the fence, 12 inside the complex), and upcoming tournaments. Commissioners asked technical questions about electrical outlets at Little League Park and the status of a self-driving mower; staff said two automated mowers are expected by July and that wiring options for plug-in outlets in prefab structures are being evaluated.
Staff emphasized that many events are free to the public though some vendor amenities will charge fees; they also noted scholarships are available for certain youth programs.
