"Not getting the funds puts RAA at risk of losing the vehicle for the next 2 to 3 years because of the manufacturer's schedule," Trammell said, and said she has documentation and video supporting her timeline of prior assurances by a former chief administrative officer.
Trammell proposed redirecting funds that had been intended as a one‑time bonus to retirees so they could instead support RAA vehicle needs, and separately asked the council to provide a 1.5% COLA for retirees.
President Newbill later listed an $800,000 proposal to support Ambulance Authority vehicle leasing and purchases among items to be coordinated with administration and staff before deliberations. The administration did not respond to Trammell’s specific account during the work session; members scheduled further discussion for Wednesday when administration staff will be present.
