State Rep. Angelito Tenorio introduces himself to board, offers legislative support

During the public-comment portion of the April 27 meeting, State Representative Angelito Tenorio introduced himself to the West Allis-West Milwaukee School Board and members of the public as the assembly member for the 14th District.
Tenorio said he grew up in a union household, emphasized his work on environmental organizing and local government, and said supporting public schools was a top reason for running. He offered his office and contact information to the board and said the states multibillion-dollar surplus should be used to invest in school districts.
"I'm your voice in Madison," Tenorio said, offering to serve as a resource for the board and district staff. He closed by sharing his office phone number and email and offering to follow up on specific concerns through his legislative office.
Board members acknowledged his remarks and asked him to include an address for the public record; Tenorio provided a local address during the hearing.
