Richland One spotlights Keenan marching band, CA Johnson state champions and Special Olympics award recipients

Commissioner Bishop and CA Johnson principal Brenton Cole recognized the CA Johnson boys basketball team for winning the Class 1A state championship on March 7, 2026, at Colonial Life Arena and introduced coaches and players for a group photo.
Lisa Curtis introduced Kelsey Miller of Special Olympics South Carolina, who presented the Champion of the Mission Award to Lucy Alley for leadership in Unified Champion Schools programming and inclusion work across multiple Richland One schools.
Chair Lomenak asked board members and administration to join families and honorees onstage for photographs; the board recessed recognition items before moving into regular business.
