Deputy Kellerman of the sheriff’s office reported December 2025 activity to the Batavia Township trustees on Jan. 5.
Kellerman said the sheriff’s office logged 122 incident/offense reports in the township during December: 32 violent-crime reports, 16 property reports, 32 personnel reports, 16 drug- or alcohol-related reports, 25 information reports and one juvenile report. The deputies performed 207 neighborhood patrols and 16 vacation-check visits; they recorded two overdoses and two burglaries and reported no recovered stolen property in December.
Kellerman summarized the office’s vacation-check and senior-check services and encouraged residents to contact the sheriff’s office to request checks for seniors.
