Districtwide club participation reached 2,577 enrollments, Dr. Sharma said, and officials are standardizing participation tracking to guide future resourcing. He highlighted arts and performance successes: the Spring Jam Orchestra included about 400 student performers and yielded a viral video with around 160,000 views; the marching band performed at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and the jazz band earned regional recognition.
Dr. Sharma also noted upcoming events — Festival of Arts (May 1), Decision Day (May 1), Special Olympics (May 6), National Honor Society induction (April 29), and graduation (June 3) — and said the extracurricular committee is advancing a memorandum of understanding for coaching positions to the board for consideration.
“Participation data is now being tracked more systematically to help inform funding and staff decisions,” he said.
