County receives $750,000 GOCO grant for Passamaisa Verde segment; construction anticipated 2028

James told the Mineral County Board of Social Services on April 27 that the county received a grant agreement from GOCO that obligates $750,000 for the Passamaisa Verde segment (segment CND).
"We do have a, grant agreement that just came in from GOCO, and that would obligate the $750,000 grant that we were successful in applying for last year," James said. He said the award will help fund the project as the county continues to assemble remaining sources for construction in 2028.
Commissioners expressed a desire to see visible progress on the ground and asked for continued updates as the county secures additional funding and moves toward construction milestones.
