Angela Hill, identifying herself as a parent of an eighth grader at Woodrow Wilson School, asked whether the district's fundraising dancing/exercise program—currently run at her child's school—could be expanded to other schools and to include parents and staff. "I was wondering, is it possible that we can do it, not just with Woodrow Wilson, but in another school?" she asked, requesting district coordination; the clerk said staff would follow up using the phone number Hill provided.
A representative speaking for the Bayonne Education Association thanked Superintendent Nies for a swift response to a January 15 water-main break that affected operations and noted volunteer and student involvement in BEA events. The representative announced a second game night at William Shemin Midtown Community School on March 19 and that BEA is coordinating with Bayonne High School's student council on future events.
President Desmond closed public comment with congratulatory remarks to the girls' indoor track team, saying, "Students never cease to amaze," and the meeting then moved to adjournment.
