Legislative committee votes 6-1 to send standing-committee clarification to full Commission

At its April 14, 2025 meeting, the Sumner County Legislative Committee voted 6-1 to send a clarification of the county's standing committees to the full Commission. Chairman Jeremy Mansfield moved the referral, seconded by Commissioner Chrissi Miller; the committee approved the motion with Commission Chairman Merrol N. Hyde casting the lone opposing vote.

The clarification request, as presented by Chairman Mansfield, lists committees including Health and Emergency Services, Committee on Committees, General Operations, Highway, Education and Budget and asks the full Commission to define the Legislative Committee's makeup.
