Board approves Sanford athletic‑training services at no cost to district

Board members praised the proposal. One board member noted that past access to daily athletic support had waned and said restoring on‑site services would be a substantial benefit to student‑athletes and coaches. A motion to pursue the Sanford Health proposal passed with a second and a voice vote.
The district will finalize contract language and logistics with Sanford and return to the board for any final approvals required to implement on‑site training coverage for home athletic events.
