"The mission of the Equal Rights Commission is to promote and protect equality, equity, and human rights through education, enforcement, and community engagement," the Commission chair told the committee as she opened the presentation. Commissioners and staff cited expanded outreach at events such as PrideFest, Juneteenth and other community festivals and a newly created LGBTQ+ advisory committee.
