City reports monthly cybersecurity training raising completion to about 80% citywide

Judy Seetman, IT security manager, said early results from the first two months of monthly trainings show a marked improvement: "As it sits, we're at about 80% citywide," she said, adding the average time per learner is about five minutes per training (roughly 60 minutes annually). She noted some departments remain behind (HACM consistently low; election commission dipped near an election) and that manager-side access to reports will improve once Workday is in place. Committee members urged quarterly sharing of the results; Alderman Speicher said he had already followed up with several department heads and recommended outreach to those with low completion rates. Alderman Speicher moved to hold the file for follow-up and the committee ordered that hold.
