Council keeps Underground Kitchen lease renewal on consent agenda after staff explains urgency

"This is a renewal of their 5 year lease, because 5 years is the longest term that we can do," Frelke said, adding that Underground Kitchen has been a strong partner in community programming.
Frelke also said the renewal adds more metrics to report the numbers served by ZIP code and that the lease is set to expire on March 12, so staff asked the council to retain the item on tonight's consent agenda to ensure continuity of services.
Councilman Brett said he could accept keeping the item on the agenda given the timing, and staff confirmed the item will remain on the consent agenda for tonight.
