Project organizers circulated a sign-up sheet asking for public support to strengthen the grant application. Council voted to accept the CEDICOG agreement and to support the grant application and project planning. Officials stressed that later phases and actual construction will depend on securing additional funding and that phasing is a common approach to increase competitiveness for follow-on grants.
