Housing Authority board approves employment contract for new executive director

After reconvening in open session, the board moved and seconded approval of the contract and adopted it by roll-call vote, with each commissioner recorded as voting Aye. No amendments or alternative terms were disclosed in open session.
The board did not discuss the specific salary or benefit details in public. Greg Cruz had told commissioners the closed session would cover “the terms of employment and not more general policy things.” The vote places Harold Ince Jr. in the chief executive role subject to the executed agreement and any onboarding steps required by the housing authority.
The board’s action follows standard municipal practice for personnel matters in which individual compensation or performance data are discussed in closed session. The board did not set a public date for Ince’s start; additional personnel or HR steps were left to staff to implement.
