The purchase agreement was reviewed by general counsel and the fire territory's attorney; staff asked the Board to approve the purchase conditioned on final legal review. The fire territory will pay $80,000 toward the purchase. The Board approved the conditional purchase.
NITCO fiber upgrade: Pryor presented a request to move the transportation office from a Comcast broadband circuit to a NITCO fiber circuit to gain synchronous upload and download speeds to support additional cameras and cloud connectivity. The monthly cost would increase slightly (approximately $8). Legal reviewed the standard commercial agreement and recommended proceeding; the Board approved the contract.
Staff will proceed with legal-finalized purchase documents, continue contract processing for Blue Group, and execute the fiber contract per procurement rules.
